Ted Kennedy Hospitalized

From FOX News:

Sen. Ted Kennedy has been hospitalized in Boston after spending an hour Saturday morning in a Cape Cod emergency room.

The Massachusetts senator's medical condition is unclear, but one spokeswoman said he suffered a seizure.

Spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said it does not appear that he had a stroke as initially suspected.

Kennedy was first taken to the Cape Cod Hospital emergency room at about 9 a.m., hospital spokesman David Reilly told FOXNews.com. After an hour, he was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he is being evaluated.

Senate colleague John Kerry, D-Mass., arrived at the hospital early Saturday afternoon, MyFOX Boston reported.

According to an article in the Cape Cod Times, Kennedy, 76, had fallen ill at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport. Hyannis Fire Lt. Bill Rex told The Associated Press that a 911 call came in from the compound at 8:19 a.m.

From the Associated Press:
"Senator Kennedy is resting comfortably, and it is unlikely we will know anything more for the next 48 hours," [Kennedy spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter] said.

Prayers for Sen. Kennedy and his family.
