Fr. Pfleger Update

Fr. Michael Pfleger's parishioners aren't happy with Cardinal George's decision to remove Pfleger from St. Sabina's Catholic Church.

Parish leaders demanded Pfleger's return. Even Jeremiah Wright came out in support of Pfleger.

The parish youth group plans to "pray, fast, and sit-in" until Pfleger is reinstated at St. Sabina.

I think they're going to get very hungry.

The assignment of Priests is decided by the heirarchy of the Roman Catholic Clergy. In this case, the Bishop.

These people protesting does not understand their role. They do not have any say in this. The church is not a democracy. The kingdom of God, the Church, is a monarchy. God decides and his subjects follow Him. God decides through the authority in the Church.

It is not America, where a prostituted view of democracy comes into play. In the Church, we don't let people decide whether abortion is good or evil.

This is all up to the Cardinal. And we all must follow. If you can't follow...then don't. Your american liberalism does not work in the Church.

You're right.

The Catholic Church is not a democracy.

The protesters along with their "demands" are misguided.
