In the face of dramatically declining circulation, it appears that the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has decided it would be wise to practice journalism.
It's running a three part series on the Milwaukee Public Schools.
Part I: "Empty promise"-- "Milwaukee Public Schools spent $102 million on a building spree meant to reduce busing by convincing parents to enroll students in bigger, better neighborhood schools. Today, many of those new classrooms go unused."
Part II: "Bad decisions, bad outcomes"-- "Poor planning, complacency, politics sapped campaign to fill neighborhood schools"
The waste of resources is mind-boggling. The incompetency is stunning.
Taxpayers should be more than ticked off by the revelations unearthed in this series.
