Joe Biden Laughs and Laughs

Joe Biden is laughing uncontrollably.

This is priceless:

DIANE SAWYER: Had you watched it before?

JOE BIDEN: I had watched it before, (Laughing) but every time I watch it... (Laughing) They are good, man. They are so good.

Sawyer thought that Biden hadn't seen the clip because he was so out of control. I thought the same thing.

When Biden said that he had seen it, I couldn't believe it. I wondered what Biden's problem was.

Yes, Jason Sudeikis as Biden is very funny; but after seeing it once, you're not going to fall apart with laughter and be unable to speak.

No wonder Sawyer decided to ask Biden if he had seen the SNL skit.

Was Biden acting or was he really so broken up? In any event, really weird.

My son is a US Marine Corps Sergeant and he doesn't need your pictures or magnets or platitudes of "Thank you for your service". He needs an America worth fighting for, one by and for the people.

He needs to have a commander in chief that is not beholden to a bunch of cronies who get rich selling out as lobbyists to other countries like GEORGIA and COLUMBIA. These countries and FREDDIE AND FANNIE are clients of the McLobbyists that McCain calls his campaign team. He employs to scare people into voting for him.

NO MCCAIN PALIN

SICK!

Your son doesn't want the thanks and gratitude of the American people?

OK. He may not want my thanks, but I'm grateful for what our military does.

I owe those currently serving and veterans like John McCain and members of my own family my thanks for their sacrifice.

If your son doesn't believe that he has an America worth fighting for, then why is he?

Mary,

Your spin on the comment, is A-typical of the problem with pundits and bloggers, today. Key word being "spin."

My son, too, is serving his country, by his own choice, in the Navy. He, and his colleagues, appreciate the support they receive - and so-deserve, from all of those who really do support their efforts and sacrifices.

What the majority of non-military citizens don't understand is this:

When you are a member of any one of the branches of the military, you are doing what your "commander-in-chief" commands, - whomever that person is and regardless of what party he is affiliated with - you, the service member must obey the orders associated with fulfilling that mission, or completing that job. Even if you don't personally agree with that person's philosophy or political stance - if they don't agree that we should be invading another person's country - that isn't for the soldier to judge - they know that the POTUS is making the call. Which requires that that person have the good judgment in asking me to put myself in harm's way to fulfill the request.

Having said that, I am not so much fearful of John McCain, as I am of Sarah Palin. Her antagonistic comments, of late, on the trail, rousing the crowd with underlying tones of terrorism on behalf of Sen. Obama isn't the type of rhetoric that I would like to think would be discussed inside of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, when an international crisis arises that requires good judgment and weight being given to all of the "facts and intelligence available" at the time - and disseminated to me, and my fellow servicemen/women when the POTUS wants me to return to harm's way.

I read Mary's comment to elude to, which is what your response does, as well, "elude to" which means that one must form an opinion as to what you really mean because you don't say it - Mary feels that her son and his colleagues need to know that they are being supported in their efforts and sacrifices they are giving to We, the People, which includes you and all of us here in America.

Joe Biden's remarks about the SNL skit are just that. Sen. Biden has been one of the foremost supporters of our men and women since this war unfolded. Yes, he voted for the war - based on what he and his other colleagues were told by the Bush administration intelligence agencies. Subsequent to that, when the war was continuing in a downward spiral - Sen. Biden was forthright and very vocal on his opposition to what the Bush administration wasn't doing, and how it was handling the war. He and Sen. Obama were on different sides of this issue, and that is a matter of record. It does not mean that they cannot agree to disagree - because the ultimate decision that would need to be made is "what is in the best interest of ALL of this country" and Sen. Biden would give considerable credence to an Obama presidency - to look at the big picture with clarity and both sides of what is in the best interests. I cannot say that for Gov. Palin.

Just to clarify--

I don't have a son serving in the military.

Anonymous,

your desperate attempt to comebacks Marys comment ended in you making up comments claiming randomly that Mary has a son. Thats pretty, creepish, at best.
All it took for Mary to shut you down was her brief last quote. GJ Mary you know how to tell em
