A seminar in bad parenting took place at Horning Middle School in Waukesha last Friday. Yolanda R. Trotter and Robert Donald III conducted the seminar.

A couple called to Horning Middle School because their son was accused of bullying ended up being arrested at the school, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.

Yolanda R. Trotter, 32, of Waukesha was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court with felony battery to a peace officer and misdemeanors of obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

She hit a police detective in the face as the officer was escorting her out of the building, according to the complaint.

Her husband, Robert Donald III, 33, was charged with two misdemeanors of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer.

The couple were called to school Friday morning to speak with a principal and Waukesha police Detective Shelly Fisher regarding an incident at school. The couple entered the room shouting, swearing and acting like a “child throwing a temper tantrum,” the complaint says.

The couple, who were holding their 13-month-old child during the incident, were advised repeatedly to calm down and stop swearing in the school, the complaint says.

The officer called for backup, and she and the principal escorted the couple outdoors. The couple continued to yell and swear as they passed classrooms filled with children, the complaint says.

As they were exiting through the doors, Donald took off his jacket and challenged the officer and principal to a fight, according to the complaint. Two other officers arrived, and Fisher told the couple they were under arrest, the complaint says.

As Fisher attempted to arrest Trotter, Trotter struck the officer in the face, the complaint says.

When Donald resisted being arrested, an officer pointed a Taser at Donald, who grabbed the baby and held the child as a shield, the complaint says. He eventually was taken into custody.

Good Lord.

I can't imagine Trotter and Donald handling the matter any worse than they did.

Using the baby as a human shield?

It's sick!

Donald must have studied the playbooks of Hamas and Hezbollah and Saddam Hussein.

Prediction: Trotter and Donald's middle school son isn't likely to stop his bullying ways anytime soon. I suspect they're pretty well engrained in the child.
