Joran van der Sloot, Greta Van Susteren, and Lies

This is so bizarre.

Joran van der Sloot told Greta Van Susteren he "sold" Natalee Holloway to a Venezuelan man for $10,000.

Interview transcript.

Video.

After the interview was taped, Joran van der Sloot had a change of heart.

He said he made up the story.

From Radio Netherlands:

Retraction
The interview was cut short when Joran van der Sloot was asked about his father's involvement in the affair. According to earlier statements by Joran, his father, working for the Aruban Justice ministry at the time, bribed two policemen to remain silent about what they knew about the affair.

Joran's father and police on Aruba are refusing to comment.

Some time after the recorded interview was broadcast, Joran van der Sloot contacted Fox News and told them he had lied to the interviewer, Greta van Susteren.

Joran van der Sloot tapes an interview about selling Natalee Holloway to a Venezuelan man and then he says he lied. Never mind. Just lies.

This has to be so difficult for Natalee Holloway's family.

They've had no closure on Natalee's disappearance.

Did he sell her? Was there foul play? Was there an accident? Is she dead? Could she be alive?

It's horrible that her family has to deal with this liar.

Which of the many stories van der Sloot has told is truthful? Has van der Sloot told the truth yet?

The person who knows what happened to Natalee, Joran van der Sloot, won't tell. It's cruel beyond words.

When I watch the interview, Bill Ayers comes to mind: "Guilty as hell, free as a bird."
