OBAMA'S CHANGE.GOV SCRUBBED AGAIN

Rob, posting on Say Anything, points out that Barack Obama's Change.gov "Office of the President-Elect" website has been altered again.

First Obama disappeared his call for mandatory community service for kids in middle school through college from his “Office of the President-elect” website. Now he’s disappeared a call for a new assault weapons ban as well.

Say Anything has the screen shot of what the site used to say:

Rob writes:

[W]hat’s troublesome beyond Obama’s utter lack of respect for the 2nd amendment is his utter inability to communicate a definitive, non-vague agenda to the American people.

He’s won the election. He and his supporters are calling it a “land slide” and a “mandate.” So why is he still hiding this stuff? If he wants involuntary service from our children (despite it being unconstitutional), and if he wants to severely limit our access to firearms (also unconstitutional, in my humble opinion) why not have the cojones to come out and say it? Especially in light of this alleged “mandate?”

Exactly.

Why is this stuff disappearing from the website? Has Obama changed his mind on the issues?

Where is Obama's spine?

What's with the makeover?

If everyone is so in love with him, if he has this mandate, why would he need to hide the truth from Americans?

It's possible that he's covering up the fact that he portrayed himself differently to different audiences to get their votes. Perhaps he doesn't want some of his supporters to realize they were duped, at least not before the inauguration.

In any event, Barack seems to be having an identity crisis, and it's playing out on his website.

Or maybe he shouldn't need to post policy on his webpage prior to becoming president. Maybe he does not need validation from you right wing nut jobs, who vote on issue you cannot begin to comprehend and have no education. Thats why the republicans get the less educated voters, the democrats get the most. I am proud to be a liberal. Us liberals helped create the internet, we helped give women a right to vote, we helped end slavery, we have done so much good for this country that you cannot admit. You throw liberal down at my feet like its a bad thing, I will pick it up and wear it like a badge.

72% of the United States' citizens believe Obama can cure the failing economy. I guess I'm in the other 28%. Everything that Obama has done (like taking all of his "plans" off of his website) only reduces confidence in the economy. Now he apparently doesn't have any ideas about anything, even though he spent two years telling everybody he had all of the answers. The backlash has begun and he's not even in office yet.

The Obama market dive continues today.

It's only down 775 points since Obama was elected.

Obama is going to blame Bush for four years and then try to get reelected. He's in over his head. Too bad 72% of the United States public didn't figure that out before the election.

Its starting to look like its going to take two years of cash to pay bills to get through this mess.

Obama has, er, had all of the answers. Why isn't he putting his economic plan out into the public so the markets will start to recover. Or would his plan put them even farther into the abyss?
