Mickey Rourke was the favorite to win the Academy Award for Best Actor.
It didn't happen. Sean Penn took home the prize.
When Rourke was interviewed by Barbara Walters on her Oscar night special, he showed that he was keeping things in their proper perspective.
Walters asked what it would mean to Rourke to win the Oscar.
Rourke said, "It would mean a great deal to me. It would be a tremendous honor. It would sum up the whole comeback thing, I guess, in a material kind of way. But in the big picture, you can't eat it, you can't f--- it, and it won't get me into heaven."
True.

By the way, the sight of Hugh Jackman giving Barbara Walters a lap dance was traumatizing.
