Obama: Crisis and Opportunity

Liz Sidoti, Associated Press writer covering the White House, puts a positive spin on Barack Obama's exploitation of the economic crisis.

Like other presidents saddled with a crisis, Barack Obama is embracing the worst economic conditions in a generation as an opportunity to advance an audacious agenda that, if successful, could reshape the country for decades to come.

The flip side: He could fall victim to grandiose plans and too-high expectations if he doesn't deliver.

It's clearly a chance he's willing to take.

"We are a nation that has seen promise amid peril and claimed opportunity from ordeal. Now we must be that nation again," Obama told the ailing and anxious country last week. "Now is the time to act boldly and wisely."

Sidoti is definitely doing Obama's bidding.

In her view, Obama, the courageous leader, is willing to take a chance, acting "boldly and wisely."

In his first five weeks, in his first budget and in his first address to Congress, Obama has made clear he's plowing ahead with his ambitious, big-ticket campaign promises. At the same time, he's trying to reverse a recession he inherited, by rescuing the banking, housing and financial sectors.

He wants to free the country from its foreign oil dependence, improve early childhood schooling, curb global warming, withdraw from Iraq, overhaul tax laws, fix transportation arteries, rehabilitate the U.S. image abroad and even find a cure for cancer. This week, he'll hold a health care summit to start a massive overhaul he hopes to complete in 2009.

Obama is acting boldly. That's for sure. He's not acting wisely if he wants to retain the greatness of this country.

Nonetheless, Sidoti seems fully on board with Obama's agenda.

She's towing the Obama party line with remarks like "trying to reverse a recession he inherited."

I'm really sick of hearing about this inherited recession and inherited war in Iraq. Blah, blah, blah.

Did anyone in the lib media ever refer to President Bush's plans to respond to the 9/11 attacks as his efforts to manage the al Qaeda problem that he inherited?

Sidoti is way down deep in the tank for Obama. She apparently likes the idea of a socialist America.

She believes that crisis brings opportunity, just like Rahm Emanuel.

Emanuel said in November 2008:

"Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it's an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before."

Sidoti praises Obama for embracing crisis as opportunity.

I don't find it praiseworthy. I think Obama is exploiting the crisis, playing on people's fears to quickly and forcefully ram a radical far Left agenda down the throats of Americans before they realize what's happening.

I don't believe that most hard-working Americans want to be stripped of their freedoms and relinquish their control to determine their own fates to a bloated government bureaucracy.

What Obama is really doing is embracing this economic crisis to destroy the opportunity that makes America "the last best hope."

"You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

---Ronald Reagan, October 27, 1964, "The Speech"

Obama is going to save the USA. But wait! That's not enough. With Gordon Brown, the junior Senator from the Chicago Democratic machine is now going to save the world, as well.

Be prepared. Our imaginary, yet to be printed, money is about to be sent all over the world. From a Gordon Brown editorial - ...President Obama and I will discuss this week a global new deal, whose impact can stretch from the villages of Africa to reforming the financial institutions of London and New York– and giving security to the hard-working families in every country.

Obama doesn't have a clue as to what he is doing. Not a frickin' clue. He suddenly didn't become an economic genius after being elected. His people don't know anything either. They just want to form the world into what they think it should be. And their egos are big enough for them to actually give it a go. Obama's proposed budget is proof. They have no clue what the ramifications of their delusional actions would be. They don't understand the scale of what they are trying to do. But they've convinced themselves at their cocktail parties full of limousine liberals that they know best, and that they are the right people to change the world.

What the Messiah has planned will cause the dollar to crash and make pretty much everything we own worthless and bring the world's economy to a grinding halt. Yes, there really is a possible doomsday scenario thanks to his stupidity. His reaction will either be "OOPS!" or maybe this is exactly what he wants to happen. Which is it?

We really are in trouble here.

Great entry.

The recession that Obama inherited is the Congressional Democrat's recession. They had control of Congress for the last two years of the Bush administration. They could have cut all of Bush's spending that caused the deficits that they complained about. But they didn't, did they. And the Democrats voted for all Bush's spending, didn't they.

Obama and the Democrats can say anything that they want. They lie, lie and lie some more every single day knowing full well that the press will cover everything they say without question, just like this blog entry proves. So thanks to the mainstream media propaganda arm of the Obama administration, the American public is being fed lies so Obama has cover to enact his agenda which is exactly the opposite of what he is telling the American public that he is going to do. By the time the media figures this out, as they see the end is near for their business, it'll be too late.

I have to go with the he/they want it to happen. Crash the dollar to worthlessness and usher in the new dollar or Amero. All part of the One World Government plan.

Problem for them is, are there going to be enough people who stand up to this and prevent it or are we going to be the sheeple that they are hoping we are?
