American Idol Final Two: Adam Lambert, Kris Allen

This really, really sucks.

Danny Gokey deserved to be in the finals.

It's Adam Lambert and Kris Allen.

Who will win?

Who cares?

Not me.

I guess they were somewhat short on time, but the judges didn't say any parting words to Danny. That wasn't right.

I also thought it was weird that the show's producers elected not to have any footage of Danny singing during his hometown visit segment. Adam and Kris were both shown performing. They showed Adam in front of a giant American flag singing the National Anthem. They didn't show Danny singing the Anthem at Miller Park before the Brewers - Cubs game.

We also didn't see any footage of Danny at his church. That was completely left out. Why? Perhaps the church didn't give permission, though I doubt that's the case because the footage remains online at the FOX 6 website.

Idol really didn't give Danny or Milwaukee and Wisconsin the credit they deserved. His hometown visit montage was so much shorter than those of the other two contestants.

In any event, I'm sure that Danny has his priorities in order. He knows what really matters. And as great as his accomplishment has been on Idol, there are far more important things in life.

No need to watch next week.

American Idol Season 8 ended tonight.
