Associated Bank Robbed

This is yesterday's news, but it's not the story itself that I find interesting. It's the way the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports it.

Police seek suspect in morning bank robbery

Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly robbed $2,000 to $3,000 from an Associated Bank on S. 27th St. at 9 a.m. Saturday.

According to police radio reports, a man presented a note to a teller that implied he had a gun, although a weapon was not seen. He was described as wearing a dark sweatshirt and pants and a dark baseball pants. He is believed to have fled the bank on foot.

He was not wearing a mask. The robbery was caught on video. No one was injured.

More details were not available.

Why not?

This story is useless.

Yes, it tells that the bank was robbed. But in terms of eliciting the public to be on the lookout for the suspect, it's a total waste.

The robber was not wearing a mask. It was caught on video.

How about a little more information about the guy, like his skin color, hair color and length, other distinguishing features?

The police want the public to assist. Without a more complete description of a suspect, that's impossible.

What a waste!
