Milwaukee: 10-Year-Old's Crush Results in Brawl

I get the feeling that this is going to be a long, hot summer in Milwaukee.

A street brawl on Monday night has gone national.

From FOX 6 News:

A 10-year-old girl's crush led to a 50-person brawl in Milwaukee. Two young girls were injured and one woman suffered a heart attack because of the brawl.

Milwaukee police say they were called to the area of 9th and Locust around 8:30 Monday night, for reports of a disturbance. When squads arrived, they called for backup because there were more than 50 people fighting in the street.

Nique Thomas says a neighbor girl's crush on her 13-year-old brother is what started the fight. She says that when her brother refused the 10-year-old girl, her family retaliated.

...The fight quickly escalated into a 50-person brawl, with people using sticks, baseball bats, pieces of plywood, table legs and bottles of bleach as weapons.

Two neighbor girls, ages 13 and 14, were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Witnessing the melee was too much for Thomas' grandmother, who suffered a heart attack. Emergency personnel were able to revive her on the scene.

Police arrested two women, one of which is apparently the mother of the little girl with the crush. Both of them will be charged with physical abuse to a child. One of them had to be tased, after going after police.

What is this?

No control whatsoever.

What a horrible scene, and over nothing!

I hope Thomas' grandmother recovers.
