Last night was the second time this week that William Shatner appeared on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien in a bit to mock Sarah Palin.
The first was on Monday, when Shatner did a dramatic reading of Palin's farewell speech as governor of Alaska.
O'Brien referred to the speech as a poem, a thing of beauty.
With a bongo drum beat in the background, Shatner spoke Palin's words.
Video here.
In last night's installment, O'Brien noted that Palin promised to stay in touch with supporters via Twitter. Again, O'Brien noted the poetry of Palin's words.
And again, with the drumming accompanying him, Shatner recited Palin's Tweets.
O'Brien should expand a bit. I would love to hear Obama's words be given the Shatner Beat Poetry treatment.
Who's more poetic than Obama?

Mary, I love it that your page pops up right away when I search for "conan, tweets, palin, shatner". Yes, shouldn't we have equal opportunity here and hear Obama put to poetry?
You can count on this blog to be your "conan, tweets, palin, shatner" destination. :)
I really would love to hear Shatner do an Obama poetry reading.
Shatner could read from Obama's books. Some of the passages would be perfect.
