John McCain's Funeral
Another day of attacking Trump via McCain weeklong memorial with media amplification. Terrible.
— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) September 1, 2018
What kind of dumb media coverage is this?Trump wasn’t invited to any of the McCain memorial events. And he’s being dissed repeatedly. Is Trump supposed to sit in a corner at the White House all week? This is twisted. https://t.co/a3Krh8UuPF
— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) September 1, 2018
I watched some of John McCain's funeral service at the Washington National Cathedral on Saturday morning.
I came in when Joe Lieberman was speaking, so I missed Meghan McCain's remarks.
I got lucky.
Personally, I don't care for a funeral masquerading as a political rally.
Perhaps John McCain wanted his funeral to be a televised forum to attack President Trump. I hope that was his wish because that's what he got.
I think it would have been better to honor John McCain and celebrate his life without all the bitterness and anger. Trump should not have been the focus. It's unfortunate that rather than honoring McCain the service was used as an opportunity to belittle Trump. Of course, some moments were beautiful, but sadly those were lost amid the classless attacks on Trump. There was a disturbing lack of civility.
Why make Trump the focus?
I don't understand why John McCain and his family would want the funeral to go in that direction, but clearly they intended it to go that way.
After a week of media obsession over slights and gibes and hating on Trump and Sarah Palin, it's over.
John McCain will be buried today at the U.S. Naval Academy.
May he rest in peace.

Sarah Palin Not Invited to McCain's Funeral Service
Palin not invited to McCain's memorial services: report https://t.co/HOexV9klWG pic.twitter.com/tUAX0bTpCC
— The Hill (@thehill) August 30, 2018
From The Hill:
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has reportedly not been invited to attend funeral services for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), her onetime running mate.Sarah Palin and her family are handling the matter with a great deal of grace.
NBC News reported Wednesday that Palin had not been invited. A source within the Palin family told NBC News that “out of respect to Senator McCain and his family we have nothing to add at this point.”
I can't think of this sort of bitterness surrounding the funeral of any other public figure.
Ir's very unfortunate that the service to honor John McCain's life is being used as a weapon to hurt others.

Louis C.K. - War on Women
Yesterday, the New York Times broke the story that many in the entertainment industry already knew.
Exclusive: 5 women tell NYT that Louis C.K. crossed a line into sexual misconduct https://t.co/GYl09W0uW2
— The New York Times (@nytimes) November 9, 2017
From the New York Times:
Now, after years of unsubstantiated rumors about Louis C.K. masturbating in front of associates, women are coming forward to describe what they experienced. Even amid the current burst of sexual misconduct accusations against powerful men, the stories about Louis C.K. stand out because he has so few equals in comedy. In the years since the incidents the women describe, he has sold out Madison Square Garden eight times, created an Emmy-winning TV series, and accumulated the clout of a tastemaker and auteur, with the help of a manager who represents some of the biggest names in comedy. And Louis C.K. built a reputation as the unlikely conscience of the comedy scene, by making audiences laugh about hypocrisy — especially male hypocrisy.
After being contacted for an interview this week about the on-the-record accusations of sexual misconduct — encounters that took place over a decade ago — Louis C.K.’s publicist, Lewis Kay, said the comedian would not respond. “Louis is not going to answer any questions,” Mr. Kay wrote in an email Tuesday night.
I used to like Louis C.K., but then I heard his comments about Sarah Palin and her son, Trig.
Since then, I've had a problem with him.
You can hear Louis C.K.'s remarks about Sarah Palin and her baby boy starting at 0:50.
LOUIS C.K.: But when she was standing on that stage at the f---ing convention holding a baby that just came out of her f---ing disgusting c---, her f---ing, retard-making c---, and she held it up - I hate her more than anybody - and she held it up and said, 'This is really hard raising this.' Really? It's a baby. Stick your t-- in its mouth. Her baby is under 1-year-old. It doesn't matter yet that it's retarded. It hasn't started to become an issue yet.
Horrible.
Read more of C.K.'s vile comments about Sarah Palin here.
More than a year ago, Roseanne Barr called out Louis C.K. for his sexual misconduct. She also called out Judd Apatow for staying silent about it.
It's troubling that so many in Hollywood ignore really bad behavior yet consider themselves to be such great people.
Btw all these celebs calling Louis CK disgusting knew all of this last week and said he was a "genius." They are so full of shit.

Griffin obviously engages in a particularly ugly sort of comedy.
She clearly has no qualms about hurting children.

Charlie Sykes: False Statement About Breitbart
Time to fact check Charlie Sykes.
Yes, we know that Sykes and his Right Wisconsin minions are on a Never Trump (AKA Always Hillary) mission.
I tuned in to Sykes' radio program this morning to hear his interview with Mike Pence. After, Sykes discussed Paul Ryan's primary race with Paul Nehlen. In the process, he bashed Drudge, Breitbart, Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, and others.
First, I wholeheartedly support Paul Ryan and will be happy when he wins tomorrow as he undoubtedly will.
Now, back to Sykes and his flat-out false statement about Breitbart.
Sykes was whining about figures in the national conservative media, including Breitbart.
Sykes said that they don't understand Wisconsin, that they "had absolutely zip to do with the Republican revolution in Wisconsin." He said they were "absolutely nowhere during the recall elections." He said they "never lifted a finger for Scott Walker."
That is BS.
Andrew Breitbart most definitely covered the struggle in Wisconsin in 2011. He came to Madison and spoke at rallies and did exposés on the Leftist protesters. Sarah Palin came to Madison in 2011. Certainly, Drudge posted links to stories about the war on Scott Walker.
From a previous post:
Here in Wisconsin, we all remember the insanity of early 2011. Breitbart was here, helping us fight to save our state.Bottom line: Sykes is wrong. PANTS ON FIRE wrong. The people he now maligns were a part of the Wisconsin Republican revolution.
When doctors in Madison were handing out fraudulent medical excuses to teachers and others skipping work to protest Gov. Scott Walker's reforms, Breitbart was there. He had no problem being diagnosed with "Walker pneumonia."
Here's video:
Here's Breitbart at a Tea Party rally in Madison, February 19, 2011:
He was passionate. He was fully committed to the cause. His enthusiasm and tenacity was inspiring. He was funny.
Here's video of Breitbart's remarks while introducing Sarah Palin at a Tea Party rally in Madison, April 16, 2011:
He was not afraid to call out the divisive, pro-union protesters there on the periphery of the gathering as lying, rude, disrespectful people. Breitbart told them to "go to hell." He defended the courageous Sarah Palin for her effectiveness in calling out the "community organizer-in-chief, Barack Obama."
And here's Andrew Breitbart's speech at CPAC, February 11, 2012:
One of my favorite lines: "Everything has changed, everything has changed in the last few years. Conservatives used to take it and we're not taking it anymore."
Breitbart was here, as were others. They brought national attention to our fight against the Leftists occupying Madison.
Sykes and his Right Wisconsin crew need to be careful. Their credibility is at risk. They are not allowed to rewrite history.
____________
I'll offer specifics of the Sykes interview with Mike Pence later.
I couldn't wait to correct the falsehoods being spread by Sykes on WTMJ. His statements needed to be refuted immediately.

Two Corinthians
Oh, good Lord!
Donald Trump committed the worst flub ever!
Give me a break!
@NYTnickc In some traditions, saying 'Two Corinthians' is very common.
— Fr. Jonathan Morris (@fatherjonathan) January 18, 2016So, a Catholic priest is not considering Trump's citation to be the game changer it's being deemed by both Dems and Republican Trump haters.
I'm in no way shilling for Trump or trying to defend him, but seeing all these Leftists and some Republicans flipping out over "two Corinthians" is pathetic.
Corinthians 2 Trump 0
RT @KatyTurNBC After "Two Corinthians" student tells me "it's a little much to say [Donald Trump] is a Christian."
— Keith Olbermann (@KeithOlbermann) January 18, 2016Suddenly, everyone is stunned by the allegedly monumental flub of the allegedly Christian Trump saying "two Corinthians," citing it as proof that Trump is a fraud when it comes to his faith.
I am so sick of this silliness.
No one dare question Obama's faith, but crucify Trump.
George W. Bush was mercilessly mocked for being a believer. Sarah Palin, too. Others are mocked for not articulating properly. It's all nuts.
The Leftists, the ones so quick to mock expressions of faith, are now acting like hardcore Biblical experts.
The attacks are just so lame. It's all so aggravating.
Ted Cruz is a natural born American citizen. End of story.
Trump's "two Corinthians" has not exposed him as a fraud. Question his statements about issues, like partial-birth abortion, but don't get bent out of shape on this.
Why can't we talk about issues that matter?
Of course, the Leftists are going to jump all over this stuff. I have a problem with Republicans joining the stupidity.

Ann Telnaes Cartoon: Ted Cruz and Monkey Daughters
Ann Telnaes, editorial cartoonist for the Washington Post, thought mocking the daughters of Ted Cruz was appropriate. The Washington Post agreed and published her cartoon. Ted Cruz has put his children in a political ad- don't start screaming when editorial cartoonists draw them as well. https://t.co/7hafBacOiK
Eventually, the Leftist outlet decided the cartoon wasn't appropriate. Fred Hiatt, editor of the editorial page, released the following statement:
It’s generally been the policy of our editorial section to leave children out of it. I failed to look at this cartoon before it was published. I understand why Ann thought an exception to the policy was warranted in this case, but I do not agree.
Telnaes believed an "exception to the policy was warranted in this case"?
Like Sarah Palin's children were allowed to be abused by the Leftist media?
I suppose that's what she thought. Of course, a conservative's family would be FAIR GAME. No Democrat's kids would ever be FAIR GAME.
I'm glad the ugliness of Telnaes and those her ilk was exposed.
Classy. @washingtonpost makes fun of my girls. Stick w/ attacking me--Caroline & Catherine are out of your league. https://t.co/N61ys6z8w1— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) December 22, 2015Here's the Ann Telnaes Washington Post cartoon:

It must have pained Fred Hiatt greatly to remove the cartoon. Had he allowed the cartoon to stand, he would have opened the floodgates when it comes to the "leave children out of it" standard.
Over the years, Obama trotted out his daughters as political props when convenient. Should they be drawn as apes on leashes? Would that be OK?
Without question, Hillary's granddaughter, political prop, would be fair game. Can't have that, can we?
So, after a while, it was determined by the Post that Ted Cruz's daughters should not be depicted as dancing monkeys.
Too late.
The Washington Post is a rag. The Leftists should be required to condemn Telnaes and the newspaper.
Has Hillary denounced Telnaes? Has Bernie Sanders?
And Obama, he should call Ted Cruz immediately. Maybe invite him to the White House. Hug him in the Rose Garden. Something.
