Obama is really a stubborn man. Rather than admit he was wrong to say that "Cambridge police acted stupidly," he's twisting the issue. He refuses to publicly apologize.
Obama's saying this should be a "teachable moment."
No. I think this is a "learning moment" for Obama. He blew it and he continues to blow it.
He's doing such a lame dance -- trying to pacify the people who are rightly upset with the way Obama slammed the Cambridge police while still sucking up to race-baiters everywhere.
Obama made a phone call to Sgt. James Crowley, arresting officer of Henry Louis Gates Jr., Obama's friend.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama has called the white policeman who arrested black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. The president says he believes the sergeant to be an outstanding police officer.
The president said Friday that he continues to think both the officer, Sgt. James Crowley, and Gates overreacted during the incident—but Obama also faulted his own comments.
Making an impromptu appearance at the daily White House briefing, Obama told reporters: "I could've calibrated those words differently."
The fact that Obama personally addressed the press and wanted some face time to address the American people reveals just how explosive this issue has become.
Obama has stirred up a hornet's nest here.

How lame of Obama to say that he talked to Crowley about coming to the White House to have a beer with him and Gates!
That is so idiotic. It's such a ridiculous line. It's never going to happen.
(Obama still hasn't had Special Olympics athletes to the White House, as he promised last March after he insulted them.)
Watch Robert Gibbs refuse to say if Obama apologized to Sgt. Crowley.
Clearly, the White House wants to put this issue to rest.
I think that's impossible unless Obama makes a full apology for his despicable remarks regarding the Cambridge police and police in general.
Even then, it's impossible for Obama to undo what he's done. He has shown Americans that he's not that different from race-baiter Al Sharpton.
Getting to know Obama is not pretty.

There was no principal anything behind this, John Stewart got it right "Obama acted stupidly"
There is such a learning moment for him to show he is a man of character and humility. Of course, that assumes...
Obama was a 25 year student of Rev. Wright and showed what he's really made of, and its not pretty.
I hope there's enough room under the bus for both the Rev and Skip.
Skip should consider himself lucky.
I don't think Obama offered Wright a beer.
