Yesterday, Robert Gibbs reiterated Obama's pledge:
The President's clear commitment is not to raise taxes on those making less than $250,000 a year.
Addressing the conflicting information coming from the White House on raising taxes on the middle class, Gibbs told the press he can't guarantee that everyone will be on message.
Democrat Charles Rangel isn't on board with the White House message.

CHARLES RANGEL: Notwithstanding what the president says, it's very possible that we still would have to raise taxes but it's not our intention to do that.
I think what we have here is a good cop/bad cop thing.
Middle class, get ready for more tax increases on you, in addition to those that Obama has already enacted.
