Chris Matthews and Sarah Palin's Hand

This story is so silly. It's trivial beyond words.

But if you've been paying attention to the lib media for the past couple of days, you'd think nothing was more important in the world at the moment than the discovery that Sarah Palin had six words written on the palm of her hand when she addressed the Tea Party Convention.

It's insane. The Leftists are calling Palin a hypocrite because she points out Obama's disturbing reliance on a teleprompter while she has six words on her hand.

There is no comparison. Six words? Who cares?

Obama has trouble speaking with the assistance of his teleprompter. And when he speaks off-the-cuff, it's frequently resulted in disaster, in terms of delivery and substance.

Nonetheless, the Leftists are drooling over the Palin revelation. They can't seem to stop talking about it.

Actually, I think it shows just how unstable the Leftists are. They need to get a grip. They're looking like fools, seizing on this as if it should drive Palin from the national spotlight. They are nuts.

As reported by Noel Sheppard, NewsBusters, Chris Matthews couldn't stop yapping about it on his show Monday.

Transcript excerpts, from NewsBusters:
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Can a palm reader be president? What do we think of kids in school who write stuff on their hands to get through a test? What do we think of a would-be political leader who does it to look like she`s speaking without notes? What do we think of Sarah Palin this weekend answering pre-screened questions from a like-minded audience in Nashville, a tea party convention, and still having to put a cheat sheet on her palm to answer what she calls the basics of her beliefs? How can someone presume to be auditioning for president when they can`t even answer questions they know are coming?

...

MATTHEWS: It seems to me the issue here isn`t that she took notes. I`m looking at notes now. We all look at notes. It`s when you sneak them on your hand! She could have put that on an index card and nobody would have made a big issue, but she had to look like she was just pulling it out of the air, so she pulled it off her hand like a palm reader!

...

MATTHEWS: Is she a balloon head?

Good grief.

The libs going crazy over this are the ones looking like utter dolts, not Sarah Palin.

SNAP OUT OF IT, LIBS!

It seems Bristol and Willow were prompting Sarah from stage right:

That's so David Letterman of you.

Well, Sarah Palin wheedles and truckles after the first contact and the vibrations of enthusiasm and flattery that follow -- the brass band, the electric tramway between two rows of bookshops.

Chris Matthews is no leftist. He's a conservative Democrat who supported McCain rather brazenly on the air in 2008.

Noooooo, of course not.

Matthews is no Leftist.

What was I thinking?

If Palin had some numbers, facts, figures, etcetera written on her hand, then I don't think it would be such a big deal. However, she had "energy", "tax cuts", and "lift American spirits" on her hand. Are those things really so hard to remember?

And yet still, I could forgive it if it was just a bullet-point list for the things she wanted to be sure to talk about in her speech.

But it wasn't for her speech. It was for an interview. An interview with somebody who was a supporter - a complete softball interview.

Come on, if a "lib" did this, you conservatives would be all over it.
