Gibbs Mocks Palin, Writes on Hand

This is so lame.

Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary, is attempting to do comedy, taking shots at Sarah Palin, during an official White House press briefing?

Good grief.

Even the White House's top spokesman is getting in on the act of mocking former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin for looking to talking points written on her palm during a speech to "tea party" activists.

Robert Gibbs showed the words "hope" and "change" on his hand as he started his daily briefing with reporters on Tuesday.

Many in the room, where President Barack Obama had spoken just moments before about the need for bipartisanship, groaned at the political shot.

Did Gibbs think the room would erupt with laughter?

What was the point?

He acted like a doofus and his stunt was met with groans from members of the press.

Obama had to know what Gibbs was about to do. Bipartisanship? Yeah, right.

I assume Obama probably thought it was hilarious. After all, he finds humor in mocking the Special Olympics. I'm sure he thinks Gibbs' shtick was funny.

This White House is a joke.
