There is such a double standard evident in the way the lib media covered the Bush-Cheney administration and the way they cover the Obama-Biden administration.
The lib media have become such cheerleaders and promoters and apologists for the Democrats that they seem to be part of a state-run propaganda machine.
It creeps me out.
Truth and facts and fairness are casualties of the role mainstream media outlets now play in our country. Their sole purpose now seems to be to serve Obama and the Democrats.
An example of bias: The coverage of Joe Biden's inexcusable and highly inappropriate remark to Obama yesterday at the health care bill signing ceremony.
FDR gave America the New Deal.
According to Biden, Obama and the Democrats have given us the "Big F---ing Deal."
Here's how the Associated Press covered Biden's really buffoonish behavior:
Leave it to Vice President Joe Biden to add a little, ahem, flair to the signing of a health care bill affecting millions of people.
"This is a big f------ deal," Biden told President Barack Obama after introducing him at Tuesday's ceremony at the White House.
Biden appeared to be offering that perspective to Obama privately, but his remark was captured on audio and video.
The episode quickly got buzz on the Internet.
Biden has a reputation of verbal slips, and he knows it.
The White House response to this one? Embrace it.
"And yes Mr. Vice President, you're right," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said in a post, or "tweet," on Twitter, the social networking site.
"Leave it to Vice President Joe Biden"?
This isn't a sitcom. This isn't Leave it to Beaver.
I don't agree with the decision by the White House to embrace Biden's buffoonery and brush it off as just another "slip" by dear old Joe. It really was a disgrace.
What is wrong with Biden?
Has he no sense of dignity and decorum?
It's an embarrassment.
Is he drunk or drugged?
I really don't understand his behavior.
Gibbs could have acknowledged the inappropriateness of the remark and apologized. Instead, it's a joke.
Yeah, let's all laugh about having a vice president who says "This is a big f---ing deal" to the president at the signing ceremony.
Let's not.
It's not funny.
I wish someone on the Left would admit that Biden made a fool of himself and his party. He lacks gravitas.
Now flash back to June 26, 2004, when Dick Cheney was vice president.
Cheney apparently dropped the F-bomb while addressing Patrick Leahy. The Left didn't laugh that off.
From CNN:
Vice President Dick Cheney has said he didn't regret cursing at Sen. Patrick Leahy earlier this week, and said he felt better after the incident.
In an interview with Fox News on Friday, Cheney said he was "forcefully" expressing his unhappiness with the conduct of the Democratic senator from Vermont -- who Cheney said had publicly questioned his integrity, and then wanted to be friendly when he saw him in person.
Sources who related the incident to CNN said the vice president had told Leahy either "f--- off" or "go f--- yourself."
Cheney would not confirm using the word.
"That's not the kind of language I usually use," the vice president said in the interview during a campaign stop in Michigan.
When asked if he had cursed at Leahy, Cheney answered, "Probably."
"Do you have any regrets?," Neil Cavuto asked.
"No. I said it," the vice president responded.
Sources told CNN the encounter Tuesday was brought on by Leahy's recent criticism of the vice president over Halliburton Co. Cheney is the former chief executive officer of the oil field services company, and Democrats have suggested he has helped win lucrative contracts for his former firm while serving in the Bush administration.
"It was partly that, it was partly also ... it had to do with -- he is the kind of individual who will make those kinds of charges and then come act as though he's your best friend, and I expressed in no uncertain terms my views of his conduct and walked away," Cheney said.
...Leahy confirmed to CNN on Thursday that Cheney had used profanity in the exchange.
"I think he was just having a bad day," Leahy said, "and I was kind of shocked to hear that kind of language on the [Senate] floor."
David Carle, a spokesman for Leahy, said Friday "It appears the vice president's previous calls for civility are now inoperative."
Poor Leahy!
He was "shocked to hear that kind of language on the [Senate] floor."
SHOCKED!
How lame!
Leahy's spokesman tried to make political hay out of the incident, slamming Cheney about his calls for civility now being "inoperative."
The posturing was nauseating.
And so was the way the media, the Democrats, and other Leftists handled the matter.
Equally nauseating: The way the media handled Biden's stunningly idiotic comment.
Biden's declaration to Obama, "This is a big f---ing deal," will echo for generations.
If government-run health care stands and expands as planned by Obama and his comrades, I'm sure many frustrated, disgruntled Americans will be using "f---ing deal" to curse their miserable health care system.
