More details about Brittney Robertson have emerged.
The 19-year-old was a mother as well as a murderer (allegedly).
From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Brittney M. Robertson, the woman at the center of last month's quadruple homicide, gave birth prematurely in December to a son fathered by the same man who fathered the youngest son of Rachel M. Thompson, the woman Robertson fatally stabbed Feb. 26, according to newly released court documents.
Robertson's son died a short time after birth, according to an affidavit filed Monday in support of a search warrant.
Robertson stabbed Thompson and helped suffocate Thompson's 3- and 4-year-old sons early Feb. 26, but did not harm Thompson's youngest child, 2-month-old Maurice Visor Jr., according to a criminal complaint.
Instead, Robertson left the infant outside Eastbrook Church, 5385 N. Green Bay Ave., that afternoon.
Robertson's baby who died in December also was named Maurice Visor Jr., the affidavit says. Robertson's baby and Thompson's baby both were fathered by Maurice T. Visor Sr., according to the document.
Maurice T. Visor Sr. had a son with Rachel Thompson and a son with Brittney Robertson. Both infants were named Maurice Visor Jr.
Robertson's son, Maurice Visor Jr. #1, died shortly after birth. Rachel Thompson's son, also Maurice Visor Jr., reportedly was 6 weeks old when Thompson and her other two sons were murdered allegedly by Robertson, her "boyfriend," Desmond Laster, and Anthony Barnes.
That would mean that Maurice Visor Jr. #2 was born in January, after Maurice Visor Jr. #1 had passed away in December.
And daddy Maurice Visor Sr. was at the Dodge Correctional Institution while one of the mothers of his sons was murdering the other mother.
How twisted!
...The affidavit and other court documents filed this week better explain the jealousy that investigators say motivated Robertson and clarify the connections among some of the people tied to the killings.
According to the affidavit:
Visor told police he met Robertson while she was working as a prostitute at a motel. Visor said he was dating Thompson at the time. Visor later conceived children with both women.
Robertson became friends with Thompson over Facebook, Visor told police. Thompson told Visor four days before the killings that she had allowed Robertson to move in with her because Robertson had nowhere to stay, Visor told police.
Visor also told police that Robertson was a heavy user of ecstasy, had a violent temper and was jealous, the affidavit says.
...The fact that Robertson had conceived a son with Visor and lost the son after birth was not revealed publicly until the affidavit was filed Monday.
I do not understand how Rachel Thompson could have allowed Robertson to live with her. It's so weird.
They became friends over Facebook? I suppose they clicked when they discovered they had some things in common -- like Maurice Visor Sr. Not only were they both having sex with him, he impregnated both of them. Small world!
Visor is fathering children but obviously is not fit to act as a father.
Does he possess any sense of responsibility for the families he started?
Has he lost any sleep over losing his son, Maurice Visor #1? Does it bother him that the mother of Maurice Visor Jr. #1 allegedly murdered the woman he was dating and the mother of his son, Maurice Visor Jr. #2?
I suppose Visor is relieved that he was incarcerated. He can't be accused of committing the carnage; though in my opinion, he bears responsibility for being so terribly reckless and irresponsible and failing to be there to support his families.
I wonder if Visor has other children by other women.
I also wonder about Robertson's murder:
After killing Thompson and her two oldest sons, the criminal complaint says, Laster, Barnes and Robertson took Thompson's baby and set the apartment on fire to cover up the slayings.
They then drove to a motel on Milwaukee's northwest side, where Barnes inexplicably displayed his Department of Corrections offender card as proof of identity to the manager while checking in.
Robertson later left the infant unharmed outside the church. Meanwhile, police had broadcast Robertson's photo, saying they feared she was in danger.
That publicity made Laster and Barnes nervous, prompting Barnes to kill Robertson about 6 p.m. near a townhouse in the 10100 block of W. Kiehnau Ave., the complaint says.
The police "feared [Robertson] was in danger," so they plastered her photo everywhere.
It was the publicity that supposedly made Laster and Barnes so nervous that they decided it was in their best interest to kill Robertson. That's what they claim anyway.
What if police hadn't released her photo? What if there hadn't been so much publicity?
How would this have all played out? Would Robertson still be alive?
There are so many what-ifs.
The biggest what-if of all: What if the people involved in this case had behaved like responsible adults and decent, moral human beings?
