New York Times columnist Frank Rich had a nonspeaking role on Saturday Night Live, playing himself as a guest on "What Up With That?"
Paul Rudd was also playing himself. He did have some lines.
Previously, Al Gore appeared in the "What Up With That?" sketch.
Strange that Rich was on SNL, scraping the bottom of the barrel with him. Still, I suppose Maureen Dowd is jealous. At least "the sexy and the sinister Frank Rich" didn't say a word.

Not strange at all, as Frank Rich's son is a staff writer for SNL; no doubt a fun "inside joke" for father and son.
