48 of 50 States Lost Jobs

The Democrats' stimulus failed miserably.

I'm sure Obama and his comrades will spin the latest data from the U.S. Department of Labor, claiming that the employment situation would have been much worse without the stimulus.

Blah, blah, blah.

The facts are what they are:

[T]hrough March 2010 a total of 48 out of 50 States had seen net job losses since the President signed the Democrats’ stimulus plan into law in February 2009. The data show that only Alaska, North Dakota and the District of Columbia have seen net job creation since then. And (other than the perhaps predictable exception of D.C.) those states that have seen some increases in jobs are still well short of the growth the White House originally forecast. Additionally, over 3 million jobs have been eliminated since the Democrats’ stimulus, unemployment remains stuck at 9.7 percent instead of 7.4 percent and falling as Democrats predicted, and a record 16 million Americans are out of work.

What a disaster!

Well don't worry, Mary. There is still 2/3 of the stimulus money left.. you know the stimulus money that we had to rush to have passed a YEAR ago. My guess is that we will see it start to flood the markets real soon. It has been saved for just such an occasion to artificially boost the economy right before the upcoming elections.

I guess it takes quite a while to get the shovels ready for all those shovel ready jobs.
