Crash the Tea Party! - Jason Levin

UPDATE, April 16, 2010: Teacher Who Sought to 'Demolish' Tea Party Placed on Leave From School

An Oregon teacher who announced his intention to "dismantle and demolish the Tea Party" has been placed on administrative leave until his school district finishes its investigation into whether his political activity crossed the line.

The state's Teacher Standards & Practices Commission is also conducting an investigation into Jason Levin, a media teacher at Conestoga Middle School in Beaverton.

"Jason is on paid administrative leave," Maureen Wheeler, the school district's spokeswoman, told FoxNews.com. She described the suspension as "standard practice during an internal investigation."

Levin has come under fire for saying he'd do anything short of throwing rocks to bring down the Tea Party. In the last two days, the Beaverton School District has received thousands of e-mails and phone calls from people across the country who said they were outraged at his behavior.

The school district is defending Levin's right to free speech, but it's investigating whether he used district computers to spread his political message or worked on his "Crash the Tea Party" Web site during school hours.

Levin is on PAID leave.

I suppose it's worth the taxpayer's money to pay to keep Levin out of the classroom and away from kids.

Jason Levin and his comrades have a plan: "Crash The Tea Party."

Here's an AP article about their scheme to discredit and demonize their fellow Americans: "Foes of tea party movement to infiltrate rallies."

Opponents of the fiscally conservative tea party movement say they plan to infiltrate and dismantle the political group by trying to make its members appear to be racist, homophobic and moronic.

Jason Levin, creator of http://www.crashtheteaparty.org, said Monday the group has 65 leaders in major cities across the country who are trying to recruit members to infiltrate tea party events for April 15—tax filing day, when tea party groups across the country are planning to gather and protest high taxes.

"Every time we have someone on camera saying that Barack Obama isn't an American citizen, we want someone sitting next to him saying, 'That's right, he's an alien from outer space!'" Levin said.

..."Do I think every member of the tea party is a homophobe, racist or a moron? No, absolutely not," Levin said. "Do I think most of them are homophobes, racists or morons? Absolutely."

Levin is nuts.

Actually, he's given the Tea Party movement a great gift.

Now, any extreme signs or behavior displayed by the throngs at the Tea Party rallies can be blamed on these infiltrators.

Levin has actually made it very easy to discredit the Tea Party critics.

BACKFIRE.

From Greg Gutfeld's take, "Infiltrating the Tea Party":
But here’s what I love: The guy’s goal is to act racist and homophobic, in order to create…proof of racism and homophobia! Which means, he’s pretty much proved that none of it exists in the tea parties, if he has to go to the trouble of importing the stuff.

And, he’s also invented a new way for racists to get away with being racist: just say you’re an undercover liberal!

But the fact is, progressive types have been branding the Tea Partiers as extremists since day one. Now, for lack of examples- they must create behavior they cannot substantiate.

Exactly.

Many have asked about the news that there may be “infiltrators” at tea parties around the nation. A website (crashtheteaparty.org) was recently set up. The creator, though he tried to hide his identity, has been outed; his name is Jason Levin, and he’s a middle school teacher in Beaverton, Oregon. He’s on record saying that you might see some of his team in Nazi uniforms at your local tea party pretending to be racists and other offensive characters. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy doesn’t it? And one has to ask the question; if tea partiers are racist, anti-Semitic homophobes, and it’s so obvious, why does he need to plant people who pretend to be those things at your tea parties? Ah…leftist logic and tactics…there is no way to understand their twisted thoughts. But you do need to know what the left is up to.

And by the way, if you’d like to let Mr. Levin’s school district know what you think of his behavior, and his potential influence on public school students in Beaverton, Oregon, you can contact them here. And you can reach the Principal at his school, Mr. Zan Hess, at this number: (503) 524-1345

If you choose to contact them, in direct contrast to Mr. Levin’s behavior, please be polite. Remember, just because he’s exposed himself publicly as a vile, indecent human being who will stoop to Nazi symbolism, and the promotion of racism and bigotry to silence those with whom he disagrees, doesn’t mean everyone in the school district is bad.

I’m Calling RIGHT NOW. The busy signal you get will be because of me.
I just spoke to a very nice lady, at the above number, who admitted to developing a migraine over this, she said calls can be directed to

My question was a simple one.

Teachers sign contracts when hired by schools. These contracts include ethics clauses. Does admitting to organizing a conspiracy to infiltrate a constitutionally protected protest in order to slander the protesters by posing as a nazi, racist, and homophobe, using hate speech, violate the ethics clause, and if so, when will Mr. Levin be terminated?

There are only a few ways one could answer that question. Anything short of saying that Levin will be terminated does not bode well for the Beaverton, Oregon middle school district.

Stay classy, conservatives. I'm glad to know that we have nothing to worry about.

How can this be a legitimate blog if it is so one-sided? I hope you aren't suggesting that republicans are any better at governance.

Wait a minute... the Tea Party demonstrations are the ones with the Nazi imagery. And as I understand it, the goal was to encourage individuals at the rallies to behave on camera and in documentation the way we have been hearing them behaving. It was to expose what already exists in the tea party rallies, not to create it. Are you guys really that naive? I doubt it. You obviously have the wherewithal to seek only the articles and information that supports your point of view, so obviously you are smart enough to make discerning, thoughtful decisions. Give me a break. This is so disingenuous.
