Ron Johnson: 'Apple Pie'

I fully support Ron Johnson to represent me in the U.S. Senate.

Extremist and Obama rubber stamp Russ Feingold doesn't share my views.

November can't come soon enough.

Way to go, we need more people like this in Congress. Good job!

We do need more people like Ron Johnson in Washington.

And we need to unseat people like Russ Feingold.

What about Dave Westlake? He has been around a lot longer than Johnson, knows where he stands on the issues and represents the every man, not the millionaires. Why support a man we hardly know anything about when we have a candidate who is honest and knowledgeable?

Dave Westlake declared his candidacy for the U.S. Senate a year ago. For whatever reason, he didn't click with the people, no momentum, not in this race.

Ron Johnson certainly knows where he stands on the issues, and he doesn't represent "the millionaires." (That's Dem class warfare talk.)

He's an effective communicator, the real deal. He's the right candidate at the right time, the antidote to Feingold.

Wow - this is quite a love fest going on for a man that came out of nowhere. Money talks, doesn't it? I hope there's substance behind him. I don't know enough about him - I would love to see a debate - I'm not hoppin' on this bandwagon until I see where it is going. I agree with @collins - check out Westlake: www.davewestlake.org Sorry, but I've seen Johnson and he just doesn't have the conviction I've seen in Westlake. Talk radio hasn't given him a chance b/c he doesn't have millions of his own - I've never heard one negative thing said about Westlake - and from what i understand, money isn't going to beat Feingold anyway.

Instead of being so critical and complaining that you don't enough about Ron Johnson, I suggest you read and listen and learn.

Money isn't going to beat Feingold. Ron Johnson is.

@Mary - I've read and listened but you see the problem is there hasn't been a whole lot to "learn." Again, I'd love to see a debate - then maybe we can all learn why Johnson thinks he can beat Feingold. "Money isn't going to beat Feingold." Check your facts - it's always what beats him.

Obviously, as a Dave Westlake supporter, you have an interest in going negative on Johnson. I don't think that's an effective approach. You're not doing Westlake any favors.

Are you suggesting that Johnson's experience and success in the private sector should disqualify him from running for office?

I don't want my country to be a place where personal success is punished and individual achievement is discouraged.

You didn't even catch it but to clarify, money never beats Feingold. It clearly is why Johnson got in the race and received the nomination. His answer to Charlie Sykes as to why he got in the race: b/c Dick Morris did a shout out for a "rich" guy in Wisconsin. Again, money won't beat Feingold. Substance will. You say Johnson will. I say stop drinking the kool-aid.

What do you mean by "I didn't even catch it"? You're rambling.

I understand that as a Westlake supporter you're frustrated and disappointed, but keep in mind the goal of this election.

Bottom line: There will be a primary. The people will choose a candidate to run against Feingold, and we will all go from there.

The goal is to defeat Feingold.
