Hugh Hewitt: Stephanie Miller Smackdown

Hugh Hewitt nicely sums up the abysmal state of the nation under Obama and the Democrats and their chances in the November elections. He finishes off by taking a swipe at a liberal talk radio host, too.

TAVIS SMILEY: Let me jump in. Hey, Hugh, what do you make of the fact that we're on national, international television, and this is the subject matter we're talking about -- the first lady taking a trip to Spain. This cannot be a serious subject. Is it for you?

HUGH HEWITT: Gosh, I feel like I'm in Hollywood Squares. You know, Tavis, the unemployment rate's 9 1/2 percent. The Congress passed $26 billion today in money that we do not have. The Federal Reserve issued a note that says the economy is weak. The new polling shows Rob Portman up by 7 points in Ohio, John Kasich almost in a double-digit lead. The Democrats are going to get wiped out. Robert Gibbs lashed out at the professional Left today. The president's approval number is down to 41 percent in the USA Today poll.

Michelle Obama is probably a much-needed relief story for the Democrats because their performance in office is so abysmal the United States is going to throw them out en masse on November 2nd. And then we'll be able to talk about why didn't we see it coming. It's because we'll be talking about Michelle Obama and Charlie Rangel and all these other stories. They're going to get hammered because of the economy.

STEPHANIE MILLER (Liberal talk radio host): And you know what, Hugh? I'm going to play this tape of you on my radio show after you're wrong in November.

HUGH HEWITT: Good. No one will hear it.

Well said.

Video.
