New Berlin Housing Project and U.S. Justice Department

This is typical of Eric Holder and the Obama administration.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

The U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division is investigating New Berlin over the city's decision to reject a controversial affordable housing project that had been proposed for the City Center.

The Justice Department is attempting to determine whether the city violated the Fair Housing Act. The act prohibits municipalities from using zoning and land use laws to discriminate against people on the basis of race, color and national origin.

Mayor Jack Chiovatero said Monday that the city is cooperating with the investigation and is preparing a response to it.

The division's Housing and Civil Enforcement Section says in a letter to the city attorney that it has not made any determination yet about whether New Berlin violated the Fair Housing Act.

The Justice Department is all over New Berlin, but it ignores the egregious voter intimidation by the New Black Panthers.

Malik Zulu Shabazz admits that the intention was to disrupt the election process but that is dismissed by the Justice Department.

Why isn't New Berlin granted similar treatment, especially since the city didn't begin to participate in the sort of violations that the New Black Panthers carried out with impunity?

There's a problem here.

...As part of its investigation, federal authorities are asking the city to provide:
• Transcripts from Plan Commission hearings and meetings on the MSP proposal as well as video and audio recordings of those proceedings.

• Copies of correspondence from residents and others related to the MSP proposal and city officials' responses to that correspondence.

• A copy of the city's zoning and land use ordinances.

• A list of all affordable housing developments, "workforce housing" or other developments created in New Berlin with the use of federal low-income housing tax credits or with other federal and/or state grants.

• A list of multifamily housing developments approved or denied by the Plan Commission since Jan. 1, 2005, including copies of the commission's written decisions on the developments.

The letter does not say who asked U.S. authorities to investigate New Berlin.

I don't understand how the case against the New Black Panthers can be dropped by the Justice Department while it's bringing the hammer down on New Berlin.

This is justice?

King Samir Shabazz rants about killing crackers and their white babies and frightens voters at a Philadelphia polling place.

Eric Holder and the Obama administration protect this extremist and his party.

The tactics of the New Black Panthers are deemed acceptable. Drop the case.

What are the odds that the New Berlin investigation will be dismissed?

Watch out, New Berlin crackers.
