Obama: Declaration of Independence, 'Creator'

If Obama is going to quote the Declaration of Independence, the least he could do is quote it accurately.

THOMAS JEFFERSON: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

OBAMA: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain inalienable rights, life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

So Obama says that all men are "created" equal and are endowed with certain inalienable rights, but he omits the Creator.

That's a rather stunning omission.

Maybe that defining sentence of our nation needs to be included on his Oval Office rug.

Obama is no Thomas Jefferson.

Politics have become nothing but "forum wars" and "he said, she said". I'm so sick of this fact and how sensitive "Christians" have become. Grow up and realize the world isn't black and white, and even if he did this on purpose... WHO CARES!

Did you look closely at his face right before he left out "endowed by the Creator"? He's seeing what the teleprompter says and furiously trying to re-write it before speaking again. Or else he's having a stroke. It's very strange and creepy.

You're right. I don't know what was happening but he didn't look like he was enjoying it.
