Obama: Madison, September 28, 2010

UPDATE: Russ Feingold and Obama didn't appear together. Feingold spoke for a few minutes and left the stage. Then, Tom Barrett was up next to introduce Obama. Feingold never was on stage standing with Obama.

UPDATE: Feingold to join Obama in Madison

In a Tweet to his supporters, U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold said Tuesday that he had finished voting in the U.S. Senate in Washington and would join President Barack Obama today in Madison.

Here is what Feingold wrote: "@russfeingold Great day to be in Wisconsin! I made it! Finished voting and am proud to join President Obama at my alma mater.

Feingold had taken some heat for not being in Madison, though he had said weeks ago that he wouldn't be there because he hasn't missed a vote in the Senate.

Well, well, well.

Feingold will stand with Obama.

I'm sure Ron Johnson is very pleased.

Feingold and Obama together -- That will be a very rare sight indeed, almost as rare as Obama being seen going to church.

UPDATE, September 28, 2010: Russ Feingold a No-Show AGAIN

Obama is coming back to Wisconsin AGAIN.

He's holding a "major rally" in Madison.

Hey, Russ Feingold! Be there!

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

President Barack Obama is coming back to Wisconsin - his fourth visit to the state in recent months as the fall elections heat up.

Obama will hold a major rally in Madison on Sept. 28 as well as three more in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Nevada before the Nov. 2 midterm elections, according to the Democratic National Committee. The rally in Madison, a bastion of Obama support with its major state university, will focus on young voters and issues targeted at them.

Spokesmen for the DNC, the White House and the state Democratic Party declined to comment on where Obama will hold his rally in Madison and other details.

...The president also plans to host a tele-town hall event in October to fire up backers of his 2008 presidential campaign in hopes they turn out for Democratic candidates this fall. Party aides say the White House also could add more presidential appearances in the run-up to the elections.

Attention Russ Feingold:

In case you didn't get the memo, Obama will be in Madison on September 28 for a major rally.

Do you have a parade in Janesville that day?

Adjust your schedule immediately so that you can stand side by side with the president you've served so well. We're ready to hear you sing his praises.

Wisconsin is listening.

At least if he's in Wisconsin, he won't be in Ohio, which lately seems his second home, after where ever he is vacationing.

I have a feeling he'll be back in Ohio, Norma. I think you can count on another visit before the election.
