Yesterday in Wisconsin Rapids, Sean Duffy announced seven commitments he's making to residents of Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District to the U.S. Congress.
"Watching what goes on in Madison and Washington is very frustrating, and has gotten worse over the years," Duffy said. "I want 7th District residents to know that if they honor me with their vote, as their Congressman I will make seven commitments to them that they can count on from day one through the end."Sean's Seven Commitments to the Seventh
Commitment One
I will commute to D.C.; Wisconsin will remain my home.
Commitment Two
I will hold a minimum of 20 Town Hall Meetings (one per county) each year in the district so residents can talk with me directly. These are in addition to the regular district events I will attend.
Commitment Three
I will support posting bills online for 72-hours before Congress votes on them to provide time to read and review the bill.
Commitment Four
I will support legislation establishing term limits for Congress.
Commitment Five
I will serve Wisconsin interests, not special interests.
Commitment Six
I will maintain accessible, open offices in the district and
Washington to listen to residents.
Commitment Seven
I will strive to ensure that any legislation that applies to citizens, applies to me as a Congressman. I will not forget why residents elected me to represent them in Washington.
Very refreshing.
