Jesse Jackson and Contessa Brewer, Coffee and Tea

MSNBC's Contessa Brewer, formerly of Milwaukee's TMJ4, interviewed Jesse Jackson about Obama's strategy for the midterm elections, appealing to young black voters.

Video.

Transcript

JESSE JACKSON: There are more black voters than there are Tea Partiers. I mean, there's more coffee in the pot than there is tea in the cup.

"Coffee in the pot"?

That's inappropriate rhetoric. It's racially offensive. It's divisive.

No conservative could get away with that.

Brewer, of course, doesn't have a meltdown over Jackson's remarks. I'm sure she would have slammed a conservative for saying the same thing.

Speaking of Jackson and Brewer, remember this shining moment for Brewer from one year ago?

CONTESSA BREWER: Joining me now to talk about this and the nation's real problem of joblessness, the Rev. Al Sharpton.

What's you're reaction to hearing someone say, you know, 'When it comes to income inequality, all's well; the rising tide floats all boats'?

JESSE JACKSON: Uh... I'm Rev. Jesse Jackson.

BREWER: Right. I don't... You know, I'm so sorry. The, uh, the script in front of me said Rev. Al Sharpton. I'm looking at your face. I know who you are, Rev. Jackson. We all do. I'm sorry.

Contessa Brewer as Ron Burgundy!

Priceless.

Jackson really looked pissed. And Brewer acted like such a dolt, blaming the script. A news professional would have corrected the script.

I bet Jackson isn't mistaken for Sharpton on FOX News.
