Pee-Wee Herman on Broadway

Watch the "Pee-Wee Herman Show on Broadway" preview.

It's a pleasant blast from the past.

From ScreenCave:

Pee-wee Herman is back and in full effect as his portrayer Paul Reubens is gearing up to bring him and his show to New York City. Ger ready suckers! The actor began re-establishing the character slowly last year with a limited stint in Los Angeles, the show was a hit and now it’s taking on Broadway. Check out the video preview of the new and improved production below…

The play is based on 1981’s “The Pee-wee Herman Show,” with a few elements from his kids series “Pee-wee’s Playhouse.” The routines are written by Reubens and Bill Steinkellner, with additional material by John Paragon. The production is described as “An eye-popping 90 minutes of subversive humor and childlike wonder, that charts a day in the life of our bow-tied hero, one of the most inspired comic personas of our time.”

...Pee-wee begins previews at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on October 26th and runs through January 2nd.

I always liked Pee-Wee.

The country is such mess. I think we need to "scream real loud" now more than ever.
