Another poll shows Scott Walker in command and Tom Barrett firmly behind.
From the Associated Press, via WLUK:
Republican Scott Walker with a 9-point lead over Democrat Tom Barrett.
The poll released Monday was done by the St. Norbert College Survey Center and sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio.
It shows Walker with 50 percent support compared with 41 percent for Barrett.
Only 6 percent of respondents said they weren't sure who they would vote for in the governor's race. And 86 percent said it was unlikely that would change their mind in the two weeks before the election.
The economy and jobs was cited more than any other issue as the most important factor in who to vote for. Twenty-five percent of respondents picked that.
Only 6 percent are undecided.
This has to really frustrate Tom Barrett, his union allies, and his mouthpieces in the liberal media.
From here to election day, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel can do a "Pants on Fire" blitzkrieg targeting Scott Walker.
Barrett can trot out his creepy State Fair attack photo again.
(That weird "Stand Up" commercial is back on the air, with that gross photo of him lingering on the screen so gratuitously.)
Barrett's union thugs can do what union thugs do.
None of that alters the economic reality people are experiencing. None of that takes away the fear of unemployment and foreclosure. None of that helps replenish obliterated retirement savings.
The fact is people don't trust a liberal Democrat like Tom Barrett to improve Wisconsin's economic outlook.

The poll has some interesting findings on the high-speed train.
The poll also showed 53% opposed to a proposed high-speed rail line from Milwaukee to Madison. Forty-four percent supported the rail line.
Those who oppose the rail line also feel more strongly about it -- 39% said they strongly oppose it and 16% said they somewhat oppose it. Just 14% said they strongly support the rail line, and 30% said they somewhat support it.
Barrett keeps saying that he's not Jim Doyle.
He's not, of course, but he's in favor of Doyle's policies like the train boondoggle.
Barrett doesn't seem to get that people's rejection of Doyle translates into their rejection of him.
Barrett has completely failed at telling people how he is different from Doyle. He's the status quo candidate.
Scott Walker is the candidate of change. People want change.
Simple.
