Groundhog Day Cancelled

Groundhog Day is February 2nd. It is when it is.

Jay Sorgi, 620 WTMJ, reports that Groundhog Day is cancelled.

It's said that every year, when the groundhog comes up out of his hole on Groundhog Day, his ability to see his shadow will decide whether we get an extra six weeks of winter or not.

What may be the biggest winter storm in at least 11 years in Milwaukee has guaranteed that the city's groundhog won't see his shadow, because he won't see the sun, at least in a public setting.

The Groundhog Club of the Milwaukee Area has canceled the area's 103rd Annual Groundhog Day Celebration.

No Groundhog Day festivities?

Alas, even the groundhog has succumbed to this blizzard.
