Yesterday, at the White House press briefing, Robert Gibbs had to deal with the fact that Obama hadn't yet called anyone from the Packers to congratulate them on their Super Bowl victory.
Eventually, Obama did call Packers Coach Mike McCarthy.
What took so long?
In the past, Obama hasn't delayed in offering his congratulations to Super Bowl winners.
Green Bay apparently isn't on his list of priorities.
Maybe Obama didn't want to tick off people (voters) in Illinois by calling the Packers in a timely manner.
Maybe he was too busy eating all that food at his Super Bowl party, the sort of stuff Michelle Obama tells us not to eat.
Bratwurst, Kielbasa, Cheeseburgers, Deep Dish Pizza, Buffalo Wings, German Potato Salad, Twice Baked Potatoes, Snyders Potato Chips and Pretzels, Chips and Dips, Salad, Ice Cream. Beverages including the following beers: Hinterland Pale Ale & Amber Ale (Wisconsin), Yuengling Lager and Light (Pennsylvania), White House Honey Ale.
It's weird that Obama invites Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to the party but doesn't get around to placing the congratulatory call.
The Obama administration is so sloppy.

Transcript, from the White House.
Q: Who did the President call last night after the Super Bowl?
ROBERT GIBBS: I don't think he’s called anybody yet. I think they’re going to call some folks this afternoon.
Q: He still hasn’t called Aaron Rodgers?
GIBBS: I think that is scheduled for a little later this afternoon.
Q: A question on Lockerbie, Robert?
GIBBS: As a Packer fan I know that there --
Q: This is killing me. He has bias toward the Rooneys -- that's pretty clear.
GIBBS: No, I think -- look, Ambassador Rooney is a good friend. It was a good game. I think everyone -- I think the President -- look, the President was hoping for a meaningful process that resulted in -- (laughter) -- his Bears being in the Super Bowl. Now that we don't have that, you want a good game.
Gibbs really does a poor job.
This has nothing to do with "Obama's Bears."
