Tom Barrett Supports Democrat Boycott

This should come as no surprise.

Like a good soldier, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett supports Wisconsin Senate Democrats' refusal to do their job.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett voiced strong support Thursday for the state Senate boycott by fellow Democrats trying to save public employees' collective bargaining rights.

..."We're seeing a natural reaction ... when anyone feels like they are being bullied," Barrett told reporters. "The Democratic members of the state Senate felt like this was just a ram job."

Barrett, who lost the November gubernatorial election to Republican Walker, said the governor and GOP legislators "can't just talk to each other" and "can't have a government as ideological and partisan as this government is" without expecting resistance.

"I'm happy they are exercising their right to say how wrong this action is," Barrett said of Democratic senators.

"A NATURAL REACTION"?

No, it's not a "natural reaction" for elected officials to leave the state when they should be doing the business of the people.

His suggestion that they are being bullied is absurd.

The people being bullied are those Republicans being threatened by the union thugs protesting in Madison.

Good Lord, did the Republicans in Washington skip town when Obama and the Democrats rammed legislation down their throats and completely shut them out of discussions?

Of course not.

What is Barrett talking about? He seems a tad detached from reality.

In other words, it's business as usual in Milwaukee.
