WI Senate Passes Budget Repair Bill

Finally!

The state of Wisconsin is no longer held hostage by 14 AWOL Democrat senators, bought and paid for by unions and the Obama administration.

Naturally, the Democrat-Union-Media Complex is beside itself.

From the Democrat-Union "willing partner" the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

The Senate abruptly passed a controversial budget-repair bill Wedneday night - without Democrats - and sent the measure to the Assembly, which is expected to pass it Thursday.

The bill eliminates almost all collective bargaining for public workers.

It passed18-1, with Sen. Dale Schultz (R-Richland Center) casting the no vote. None of the 14 Senate Democrats was present.

Democrats have been able to block a vote on the bill for three weeks because 20 senators had to be present to vote for it. Republicans control the house 19-14.

But late Wednesday, a committee stripped some elements from the bill that they said allowed them to pass it with a simple majority present. The most controversial parts of the bill remain intact.

The Senate abruptly sent the budget-repair bill Wednesday to the committee of legislators from both houses at about 4 p.m. and the committee convened at 6, taking action within minutes.

The Assembly earlier had passed the original measure and now must take up the version from which fiscal matters were removed.

It was clear that the extremist Dem senators hiding out in Illinois were serving as pawns for the Dems' national party and the unions. They were doing the bidding of the Obama administration and the unions.

It was clear that Washington was calling the shots. It became clear that Obama and the Democrats/unions were committed to overturning the results of the November 2010 election.

That was unacceptable.

Elections have consequences.

We had elections. The people of Wisconsin chose Scott Walker to be our governor. We gave both houses of the legislature to the Republicans.

There is no question that the Republicans did the right thing.

It was long overdue.

Why are you far-out right wingers so eager to serve the Kochs? Why don't you just go to Somalia or Liberia where the runs thing the way you like it? You think the WI 14 held things hostage? Wait until the Kochs (cf Buchenwald) and that Walkeristanian take over. You'll KNOW you're held hostage.
