Will Ferrell at Mader's

What do many visitors to Milwaukee do?

They eat at Mader's.

That's what Will Ferrell did on Thursday.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Yes, that was comedian Will Ferrell eating the German sampler plate at Mader's Restaurant on Old World 3rd St. Thursday afternoon.

Ferrell, 44, and an entourage of seven guys (looking an awful lot like scouts for a movie location) were just passing through town, Ferrell said.

On his way out of the restaurant, the George W. Bush impersonator posed for pictures and even signed a few autographs.

No light lunch for the former "Saturday Night Live" guy. That lunch plate includes goulash and Rheinischer sauerbraten. He washed it down with a beer.

Ferrell wasn't in Milwaukee scouting out a movie location.

Will Ferrell, spotted eating lunch at Mader’s Restaurant Thursday, said he was just passing through town. But we suspected that was a fib. What movie stars just pass through Milwaukee?

Turns out Ferrell was filming spots for his website, funnyordie.com. Mike Mervis of Towne Realty says Ferrell and a film crew shot video of the comedian running around the old Pabst Brewery and monkeying around near the old copper vats.

A picture of Ferrell riding a bike along Milwaukee’s east side while a crew filmed him made its way online Thursday night.

I hope Ferrell's Milwaukee video doesn't mock the city or its people.

Funny is in the sense of humor of the beholder.

That's pretty funny.
