Packers: 13-0

The Packers are still perfect.

With their win over the Oakland Raiders, the Packers have secured a first-round bye in the playoffs.

From the Green Bay Press-Gazette:

The Green Bay Packers boosted their record to 13-0 and hit another goal on their quest to repeat as Super Bowl champions with a 46-16 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field.

The win gives the Packers a first-round bye in the playoffs. The San Francisco 49ers’ loss to Arizona also puts the Packers on the brink of claiming home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Packers’ magic number is one. Any Packers win or 49ers loss in the final three weeks of the season gives the Packers home-field advantage.

The only way the Packers could lose home-field advantage is if they lose their remaining three games and the 49ers win their final three games. In that case, the Packers would lose a tiebreaker to the 49ers based on record against common opponents, where the 49ers would have a 5-0 record and the Packers would be 4-1.

It's great being a Packers fan.

Great.

A cloud over Sunday's victory--

One of my favorite players, Greg Jennings, suffered a knee injury.

From Vic Ketchman, Packers.com:

The Packers’ main concern following the game was for the severity of a knee injury wide receiver Greg Jennings sustained in the second half. Jennings gave fans a thumb-up signal as he left the field on a cart.

“I do not have a feel for the severity of his injury,” McCarthy told reporters. He classified it as a “knee sprain.”

“It didn’t look very good but we’ll see what the MRI says tomorrow, but we have a first-round bye wrapped up so he has five weeks,” Rodgers said.

I'm really, really hoping for the best.
