Debbie Squire

Debbie Squire of the Michigan Principals Union knows best.

At least that's what she believes.

Educators are trained professionals. They know how best to serve children. Parents, "individual residents," just don't have the training to make appropriate decisions for kids.

Here's video of Squire testifying that teachers should have the ultimate authority when it comes to determining what's best for children:

What arrogance! What condescension!

Teachers, government union employees, are supposedly the experts. Parents are buffoons, incapable of making the right choices for their kids.

This is the attitude that permeates public schools. Only union employees are able to properly educate a child. Parental School Choice programs are bad.

Why?

Parents are too stupid, according to Squire. Stupid people shouldn't be allowed to make choices.

Squire wants the power to control the lives of kids to stay with the unions, not parents.

Interesting that union advocates like Squire whine about the lack of parental involvement in their children's education while simultaneously telling parents they aren't fit to be involved.

Go figure.

Government employees like Squire aren't interested in empowering the individual. They're against choice in education. They're the enemy of freedom. It's all so twisted.
