Walker 'Bombshell' - Bid Rigging

Miserable failure as mayor of Milwaukee and wannabe governor of Wisconsin, Tom Barrett, has only one week left to wage his sleazy campaign in the recall election.

"No More Mr. Nice Guy" Barrett's allies are helping him - some more, some less.

For example, Obama just put out this tweet:

I wouldn't call that a big Barrett endorsement. Obama appears to be keeping his distance, while trying to appease Wisconsin Democrats and unions asking for support from the White House.
"Voting early brings out all sorts of smiles"

Very, very weak.

Others, of course, have been willing to do whatever it takes to help Barrett. They've been willing to trash their professional reputations and throw out their integrity.

Dan Bice of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has joined forces with Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm's office in its crusade against Scott Walker. Bice, union member and "willing partner," wrote an article that Phil Walzak, Barrett's deputy campaign manager, calls a "bombshell."

This appears to be Team Barrett's last stand when it comes to the alleged John Doe investigation (aka political witch hunt, fishing expedition, more leaks than a sieve.)

Read Walzak's "Bombshell" fundraising email:

Friend --

This is hot off the wires of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: an investigative report has found that there is evidence to suggest that Scott Walker is the subject of the criminal corruption probe.

Sources in the Journal Sentinel article say that the email exchanges at the center of the probe could reveal a political "bombshell" and that the "private messages contradict Walker's discussions with his county staff."

We're making our final ad buy of the campaign to make sure Wisconsinites hear about this explosive story before the Koch-powered Walker spin machine cycles up -- which means we need you to chip in with a donation of $5 before tomorrow at midnight.

Here's what we already know about the case: Prosecutors have charged six of Walker's closest aides and associates with 15 felonies and 3 misdemeanors for criminal activity that includes the embezzlement of charitable funds intended for the families of soldiers killed in action, child sex enticement, secret email networks, illegal campaign contributions and the abuse of taxpayer resources.

Now reports have confirmed that prosecutors are looking into evidence that may implicate Scott Walker directly, as well as yet another of his aides, in an attempted bid rigging scheme to illegally reward campaign cronies at taxpayer expense.

Wisconsin deserves to know the truth about the scandal before the election on June 5. Your donation of $5 before tomorrow at midnight will go directly towards our final ad buy of the campaign and will help educate voters about new revelations that link Scott Walker as a target in a criminal investigation.

We know what Walker will do. He'll refuse to answer questions. He'll refuse to release the emails sent between him and his staff. And he'll continue to stonewall in an attempt to run out the clock.

But the evidence is mounting and it all points in one direction: Scott Walker must go.

In just one week from today, the people of Wisconsin will make a stand for open, honest government by electing Tom Barrett on June 5.

Fight for a Wisconsin that is free of corruption by rushing a donation of $5 to Tom Barrett and our final ad buy right now.

Thank you,

Phil Walzak
Deputy Campaign Manager
Barrett for Wisconsin

Read Bice's "Bombshell" article: "Significance of email exchanges won't be revealed for a while."
After more than two years of raids, subpoenas and closed-door courtroom testimony, the John Doe investigation into activities during Gov. Scott Walker's time as Milwaukee County executive is now faced with this:

Determining the significance of a private email exchange in the spring of 2010 between Walker and his longtime campaign adviser John Hiller over a potential county real estate contract in which Hiller had a financial stake as deal maker.

Those familiar with the exchange - the emails were among the documents seized by authorities - say it has to do with the county's efforts to find private or public office space for its Department on Aging. Milwaukee County prosecutors have been investigating whether there was an attempt at bid-rigging in that case.

Sources have given varying descriptions of the emails, calling them everything from "legally inconclusive" to "a bombshell." One insider said the private messages contradict Walker's discussions with his county staff.

All sources refused to release the documents because of the secrecy order in the John Doe case. Anyone divulging information from the closed court hearings could face criminal charges under the secrecy order.

TWO YEARS.

It doesn't take two years to expose a crook when one has the evidence in hand.

This is a disgrace.

John Chisholm has A LOT of explaining to do.

Furthermore, it is hilarious that Bice notes "All sources refused to release the documents because of the secrecy order in the John Doe case."

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Suddenly, secrecy matters?

Give me a break!

Bice will run with whatever information his sources from Chisholm's office provide.

If a smoking gun was in his sources' possession, and they shared it as they have with everything else, Bice would reveal it. No question about that.

I love this: "Anyone divulging information from the closed court hearings could face criminal charges under the secrecy order."

OK. I hope the leaker/leakers will face criminal charges for sharing their steady drips of John Doe investigation information.

Chisholm has to go. He is unfit to serve as DA.

Barrett and his pack of attack dogs need to quit demanding that Gov. Walker divulge information from these alleged "closed court hearings."

If you can't see through what the shameless Barrett crew is doing, you are incredibly naive.

...All signs indicate that District Attorney John Chisholm won't be filing any additional charges as part of the John Doe probe or closing the investigation before the June 5 recall election, meaning the emails are unlikely to become public anytime soon.

Reached after a news conference on Thursday, Walker maintained his disciplined refusal to discuss details of the probe. He specifically brushed aside questions on the content and context of the email exchange with Hiller and whether investigators had asked him about the messages.

This is such drivel.

All Barrett and his comrades can do is make stuff up.

And Bice is such a stooge.

No professional integrity, no decency.

Pathetic.

We are left with some questions, not for Gov. Walker, but Barrett:

Where's the plan, Barrett? This is a campaign about NOTHING. You are demonizing Gov. Walker. No kidding. That doesn't make you qualified to run the state of Wisconsin.

We know you will stoop lower than the lowest. We know you're willing to say anything to attack Gov. Walker, and your political allies in the DA's office and your media partners will assist. You'll mislead. You'll lie.

You appear to be very at ease executing those tactics. Meeting the real you, Mr. Mayor, has been an eye-opener.

Specifically, what would you do if you were governor?

Would you turn Wisconsin into Milwaukee?

If you win, we lose.
