Why You Should Care About the Wisconsin Recall

Of course, we here in Wisconsin care about the recall election.

So much is at stake. Will Tom Barrett take us back to the failed policies of Jim Doyle? Will Barrett be given the opportunity to do to Wisconsin what he's done to Milwaukee?

Perish the thought.

We know how important it is for our future to keep Governor Scott Walker in office. We know we can't let union thugs overturn the November 2010 election.

The election has national implications as well.

We can't shirk our duty to vote and do all we can to get every Walker supporter to vote.

We must keep Walker in office. Defeat is not an option.

Knock it off with the union thug rhetoric. I'm not a union worker but am upset with Walker over his unbalanced approach to the budget, raising my taxes, taking Wisconsin higher education down a path of non-competition with other states in the midwest, and erosion of our water regulations. Union workers aren't the only ones who feel unrepresented by this man.

Of course, union workers aren't the only ones against Walker. Recipients of the entitlement culture, like the career jobless, those looking for a handout, are probably not interested in Walker's job creation policies. If you don't pay taxes, you certainly don't care about the tax burden.

It's undeniable that the unions' hissy fit started this thing. They're organizing this thing. Union leaders and their minions are the base.
