Obama: NYC Fundraiser, $40,000 Per Person

Obama and his supporters keep pushing the talking point that Americans can't relate to Mitt Romney.

The other day, I heard Dem Peter Barca, Wisconsin State Assembly, on the news parroting that lame point.

This notion that we can better relate to Obama is absurd.

I can't relate to Obama's lifestyle or his values or his friends. I can't relate to Obama's radical vision for America. I can't relate to his tactics. I can't relate to his cruel and cold "sense of humor."

I share much more with Mitt Romney than Obama.

On Monday, Obama brought New York City traffic to a halt so he could trot around and rake in campaign contributions. Yes, more Obama fundraising among the wealthy, liberal elite.

"Regular guy" Obama held a $40,000 per person fundraiser.

Right. I can relate.

From the New York Daily News:

President Obama rolled through town Monday evening, halting Manhattan rush hour traffic on his way to yet another exclusive New York fundraiser.

The elite affair at the opulent, Parisian-styled NoMad Hotel on Broadway and 28th Street is costing donors $40,000 per person, according to the Sunlight Foundation.

Obama touched down at John F. Kennedy Airport just ahead of schedule at 4:34 p.m. His motorcade traveled up the FDR Drive and across town to arrive at the hotel at 5:20 p.m.

He was scheduled to address his top-dollar donors just after 8:00 p.m. and then be whisked back to JFK by 9:35 p.m. for his trip back to Washington.

Monday’s quick trip to the city is just the latest of Obama’s buck-raking swings through town.

Last month, he attended a star-studded fundraiser at the West Village brownstone of Sarah Jessica Parker that also cost his high-profile donors $40,000 a head.

Obama and his pals are just like me!

Yeah, no.
