Paul Ryan Interview - Mark Levin

On Wednesday, Mark Levin interviewed "Vice President In Waiting, Paul Ryan."

I like the sound of that!

Levin touched on several key issues. He asked straightforward questions and Ryan gave excellent, straightforward answers.

Ryan has the ability to speak so succinctly and intelligently. His ability to communicate is a great asset.

The interview began with a discussion of education and school choice. Mark Levin's Landmark Legal Foundation litigated the school choice case in Milwaukee.

Levin then asked Ryan to describe the Romney-Ryan economic plan. Ryan responded that their plan is "the reversal of Obamanomics." He delineated the specifics that would permit economic growth and opportunity. Ryan said we should look at success with pride, not with envy, resentment, fear, and anxiety.

Ryan rejects Obama's strategy of dividing the country with class warfare. He says the "job of government is to protect our natural rights" and "promote equality of opportunity."

Ryan said, "I really believe, from the bottom of my heart, we can trigger an American renaissance. We can get this economy turned around. We can get people back to work, get people good jobs, higher take home pay."

Sounds like Romney and Ryan are offering Americans real hope and change.

Ryan is confident in our future. He has faith in the people of our country.

How refreshing! It's the polar opposite of what Obama's pushing.

Ryan said, "The president is just going to try and distract. He's going to try and divide. He's going to distort and demagogue to try and win this election by default, but we're not going to fall for it. We're going to give the country a very clear principled choice of two futures."

Ryan does such a great job of articulating the choice before the American people. He's so good. Ryan doesn't talk down to people. He's not condescending. There's no soaring, BS gobbledygook. He communicates very effectively, in a fashion that is concrete and concise and understandable. Ryan is a very effective speaker.

Levin and Ryan also talked about the Romney-Ryan Medicare plan, as well as foreign policy.

With the Democrats and their hacks in the media choosing to attack Ryan on Medicare right out of the gate, we've heard a lot about that issue already. Ryan explained the specifics. Of course, Obama and the Dems have tried to lie about the plan, but they've lost that battle.

What we haven't heard much about from either campaign is foreign policy. Although the economy is the central issue in 2012, foreign policy can't be overlooked. It's an extremely important matter. Levin pointed out that the Obama foreign policy is a disaster. He said, "It looks like anarchy."

Ryan said that Obama's policy is to subjugate the U.S. to the UN, giving Russia and China veto power in the Security Council. Furthermore, Obama's reckless, devastating defense cuts and his lack of leadership mean we cannot protect our interests globally. Ryan said that he and Romney will reverse that.

"We believe in peace through strength. We believe in a strong national defense. We believe in forging stronger ties with our allies, and that combined with peace through strength means our adversaries respect us more and are not as willing to challenge us."

Listen to the interview.

Being from Wisconsin, I have my biases. But I think Mitt Romney made an excellent choice, the best choice, when he selected our Paul Ryan to be his running mate.

Paul Ryan explains policy in a manner that is convincing and appealing. He makes sense. He talks substance. He connects with people.

There is a clear choice in this election - two futures.

Obama and Biden are offering more misery and decline.

Romney and Ryan are offering a path to prosperity and growth.
