Katy Perry and Obama - Milwaukee

Obama is going to be in Milwaukee on Saturday?

Wow.

I guess he didn't see the Marquette University Law School Poll, that puts him ahead of Mitt Romney by a comfortable 8 points in Wisconsin.

Is it really necessary for Obama to spend time in Milwaukee?

He shouldn't have to be spending any time in these final days of the campaign trying to sway voters in Wisconsin.

Apparently, Obama's appearance isn't enough to excite people and draw a crowd. He needs to bring a musical guest, Katy Perry.

There is no way Obama would be in Milwaukee on Saturday if Democrats were confident Wisconsin will go their way.

Early voting seems to be a problem for Obama in the state.

He still has a chance to get some early votes with his Thursday event in Green Bay, but Saturday will be too late.

Early voting, or as it's called in Wisconsin, In-person Absentee Voting, will be over by Obama's event on Saturday.

In-person absentee voting runs for two weeks before an election, ending at 5 p.m. or the close of business (whichever is later) on the Friday before the election.
Saturday's effort is directed solely to influence Election Day turnout.

The enthusiasm for Obama has evaporated.

I wonder if Milwaukee's failed mayor, Tom Barrett, three-time gubernatorial loser, will attend, throwing his support to Obama. Maybe he'll just tweet something instead.

Obama's rally really should fire up Romney supporters in Wisconsin.

It's a sure sign we can win here.
