"I'm a 34-year-old NBA center. I'm black. And I'm gay," says Jason Collins.

What?
Collins is gay. So what? Who cares?
I'm not proud of gay friends or family members because of their sexual orientation. It's irrelevant.
Courage? There are degrees of courageousness.
If my husband told me he's gay, that would be a different story. That would affect me. I would care. Other than that case, it doesn't matter to me.
This "So proud of you, Jason" is embarrassing.
