Ban "bossy"?
That is truly idiotic.
When a little boy asserts himself, he's called a “leader.” Yet when a little girl does the same, she risks being branded “bossy.” Words like bossy send a message: don't raise your hand or speak up. By middle school, girls are less interested in leading than boys—a trend that continues into adulthood. Together we can encourage girls to lead. This is so lame.
Pledge to Ban Bossy.
What year is this? Is this the 21st century or the early 1900s?
What is with the Girl Scouts?
When I was a little girl, I asserted myself. I wasn't branded "bossy."
Hell yeah, I'd raise my hand in school. I spoke up.
Good grief.
No.
I will #banbanbossy.
New movement to ban the word "bossy." I would also like to ban "isthmus,"selfie," "uvula," and "Kardashian."
