August Weber Haus Raided

Federal agents storming a restaurant with guns drawn in downtown Cedarburg is not the norm, but that's what happened at The August Weber Haus on Thursday morning.

From WISN-TV:

Federal agents raided a popular restaurant in downtown Cedarburg.

The investigation dates back a number of years.

The restaurant is the August Weber Haus on Washington Avenue in Cedarburg.

The Cedarburg police chief confirmed to WISN 12 News reporter Christina Palladino that his department and several agencies, including the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office raided the place.

Witnesses said they saw a number of agents with guns drawn storm the August Weber Haus around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

They also searched an apartment above the restaurant owned by the same family.

The police chief would not say what they were looking for, just that the investigation dates back years, and he didn't want to jeopardize the case.

...The police chief said they have a lot of evidence and witness information in regards to that raid.

No arrests were made, and no one's been charged.
The investigation goes back YEARS?

They have "a lot of evidence"?

Well. This is very un-Cedarburg.

Isn't it?

I guess not.
