ISIS (ISLAMIC State of Iraq and Syria)

ISIL (ISLAMIC State of Iraq and the Levant)

There isn't consensus as to what to call the terrorist organization that Obama vows to destroy, with the help of that "broad coalition."

Who, exactly, is included in that coalition?

We don't know that either.

On Wednesday, Obama told the American people that "ISIL" is the enemy.

What is ISIL?

It's the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

But Obama insists that ISIL is not Islamic.

OBAMA: Now let’s make two things clear: ISIL is not “Islamic.” No religion condones the killing of innocents.
I think the members of ISIL (or ISIS, or IS) would beg to differ.

My guess is they don't like Obama telling them they aren't "Islamic." Just a guess.

Greg Gutfeld tells Obama:

We get it. Not all Muslims are terrorists. But the I in ISIL doesn't stand for igloo. Delinking ISIS from what drives it insults the moderates you seek to address.

Obama made a mistake when he chose to declare that ISIL is not "Islamic," even though that's clearly not the case.

We can't pretend that ISIL (or ISIS, or IS) is not driven by religion. It's unrealistic.

Obama's decision to attempt to reconstruct reality makes him look utterly impotent.

The president of the United States shouldn't have to tiptoe around the truth when he's discussing DESTROYING the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

OBAMA: Our objective is clear: We will degrade, and ultimately destroy, ISIL through a comprehensive and sustained counterterrorism strategy.
Here's a suggestion for that "comprehensive and sustained counterterrorism strategy":
