Mika Brzezinski: Star Trek and Star Wars

Mika Brzezinski revealed a cluelessness that is shocking.

If you're remotely tuned in to American culture, you know that Star Wars and Star Trek are not one and the same.

Mika Brzezinski doesn't know that.

Co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Mika Brzezinski, who is a 47-year-old adult who does not live under a rock, thought that Star Wars and Star Trek were the same thing.

The revelation came when “Morning Joe” did a segment on the new Star Wars trailer. “So you’re like, a Trekkie?” asked Brzezinski as her co-hosts discussed the finer points of the Star Wars universe.

Basically the entire panel cut in to tell her that Trekkies liked Star Trek, not Star Wars. “They’re different?” she asked. “What is this?”

Embarrassing.
