Tammy Baldwin: Freedom of Religion for 'Institutions of Faith'

Tammy Baldwin, far Leftist U.S. senator from WISCONSIN, believes freedom of religion is not an individual's right. Rather, it should be extended to "institutions of faith."

The latest confirmation that Erick Erickson's original warning at RedState "you will be made to care" about the legalization of same-sex "marriage" even if you think it doesn't affect you comes from Minnesota Senator Tammy Baldwin.

That's a mistake. Unfortunately, Baldwin is Wisconsin's senator.

On Saturday, the day after the Supreme Court's related ruling, Baldwin was on MSNBC’s “Up w/ Steve Kornacki” program. Baldwin was asked, "Should the bakery have to bake the cake for the gay couple getting married? Where do you come down on that?" The short version of her answer: "Damn right they should."

Baldwin is generous enough to say that "institutions of faith" are safe. What a pal.

Tammy Baldwin: “Certainly the first amendment says that in institutions of faith that there is absolute power to, you know, to observe deeply held religious beliefs. But I don’t think it extends far beyond that. We’ve seen the set of arguments play out in issues such as access to contraception. Should it be the individual pharmacist whose religious beliefs guides whether a prescription is filled, or in this context, they’re talking about expanding this far beyond our churches and synagogues to businesses and individuals across this country. I think there are clear limits that have been set in other contexts and we ought to abide by those in this new context across America.”

Hell no, Tammy.

The government is not going to infringe on MY RIGHT to exercise MY religion.

These Leftists don't hesitate to strip Americans of our liberty.

We have to protect our freedom.
